NextGen AI is a Canada-based youth AI society dedicated to advancing AI literacy, responsible innovation, and meaningful participation in emerging technology.

The society brings together students, educators, researchers, industry professionals, volunteers, and community partners to support the next generation of AI talent. Through workshops, curated resources, mentorship, public events, and student-centered projects, NextGen AI helps youth understand emerging technologies, build real-world skills, and use AI with creativity, care, and responsibility.

Our vision is to create a welcoming community where young people across Canada can explore artificial intelligence, connect with mentors, exchange ideas, and develop the confidence to participate in the future of technology.

Goal and Statement of Purpose

The goal of NextGen AI is to promote and advance AI literacy, hands-on exploration, and responsible innovation among youth.

• Support youth engagement with AI through workshops, resource pathways, mentorship, and accessible knowledge references.
• Connect students with educators, researchers, industry mentors, and community volunteers who can guide their exploration.
• Promote responsible AI use by helping young people understand ethics, privacy, bias, safety, and human-centered decision-making.
• Encourage student creativity through project work, showcases, robotics support, coding activities, and community events.
• Build partnerships with schools, universities, nonprofits, companies, and community organizations committed to youth AI literacy and responsible innovation.
